The 8 Rules of the Code Club*

  1. You do talk about Code Club

  2. You do talk about Code Club

No, really. Please promote our Code Club to anyone who may be interested 🥺

  3. Everyone is welcome

Whether you are a novice Excel user or a professional deep-learning algorithm trainer, you are welcome to join the Code Club as long as there is coding involved in your line of works.

  4. Every (programming) language is welcome

Our diverse community consists of users of many different languages at all level of experience. Whether you mainly use python, R, Julia, SQL, C++ or only work with specialized analytical tools, we are happy to have you on board, and would love to hear your experience!

  5. BYOL (Bring your own laptop)

Or borrow an IHI laptop (Ubuntu OS) from us for the sessions.

  6. Be nice

Our community is committed to provide a friendly, inclusive, and supporting environment for everyone, regardless of background and experience. We’d write a long paragraph explaining how serious we are with this, but as usual The Alan Turing Institute has summarised this nicely.

  7. Sharing is caring 💞

We value privacy and copyright ownership, but if you have written a nice piece of code which can make everyone’s life easier, please consider sharing it with the world through our shared GitHub repositories (refer to our how-to guide for technical details).

  8. Don’t be shy!

We’re happy to help troubleshoot code-related issues of any kind and we’d love to hear your heroic tales of solving top-level programming problems. Don’t be shy to bring any question you may have to our discussions (refer to our how-to guide for technical details). There are no silly questions!
